La Maison du Petit Jacques is a beautiful Maison de Maître located in the Charente-Maritime region of southwest France, rated 4-stars by the Charentes Tourism Board.

With our spacious guest cottage, large gardens and a swimming pool, our home offers an oasis of tranquility for rest and relaxation and is also within easy driving distance of the Atlantic coast, historic towns, and cycling trails.

While our current guest cottage, Mirabelle, does not offer disabled access, we are working to open our 2nd guest cottage, Rose, with disabled access by summer 2023.

Private and group yoga and Pilates classes are offered for a fee on-site.

We were there with my husband and after hiking all we want to do was going back to the motel and spend time relaxing in our room with a breathtaking view. I highly recommend this place if you don’t like hotel chains or big places. We’ll definitely go back.

We had a very lovely stay and were welcomed with such warmth. The room was very pretty, clean and the bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was very delicious and Alastair is a master in preparing all kinds of egg recipes. They give excellent tips on what to visit in the area.

We spent two weeks at this wonderful gite and couldn’t have been happier. The facilities are excellent - we spent our time swimming in the salt water pool, cooking and eating lovely dinners outside and then playing table tennis in the barn until it was time to retire to our comfortable and spacious bedrooms. There are also several bathrooms which made life easy for our big family! Alastair and Renee were fantastic hosts and made sure we had everything we needed for our stay. I would certainly recommend this gite to others!
